Teacher

Emily's unique communication skills and multi-faceted approach to music and oboe playing have made her a valued teacher both in the UK and America.

As well as being a regular coach at Britten Pears School and Guildhall, she has galvanised students in her classes at the Juilliard and Mannes Schools of Music, New York and Aspen Summer Music. Emily gives regular masterclasses in the UK, Europe and America and teaches privately from her home in London.  In addition to her British pupils and those who come for consultation lessons, Emily has a regular flow of international conservatory students, including students from Oberlin Conservatory, Indiana University and Oxford University,  who come to London for a term to study intensively with her.
