Emily plays regularly as a guest principal oboist with orchestras in the UK, Europe and America.

She has worked with a wide range of orchestras including the Philharmonia, the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Scottish, Royal Northern Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, Aurora Orchestra, BBC Scottish, BBC Concert Orchestra, Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, Baltimore Symphony, National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic and the Bergen Philharmonic. In 2016 she appeared as principal oboist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of their Music Director Sakari Oramo for the televised First Night of the Proms and also joined the orchestra for their Prom with Alexander Vedernikov which included Tchaikovsky's Overture 'Hamlet' with its famous oboe solo. 2017 sees her playing principal oboe with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales for their Prom with Ryan Wigglesworth.
